My focus is in the area of health psychology using a cognitive-behavioral approach. I have experience in diagnostic assessment, intellectual and personality testing, and individual/group psychotherapy. I specialize in geropsychology and work in long term care facilities.

I received my doctorate in psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology in 1997. My training included diagnostic assessment and health/rehabilitation psychology. Prior to my work as a psychologist, I practiced as a Registered Nurse. I graduated from St. Olaf's College in 1978 with a Bachelor's in nursing and from the University of Minnesota with a Master's in nursing in 1985.
