Clinic-Based Therapy Services
Community-Based Services
Assistant Director of Community Based Services

I have worked with children, adults, and families, in different capacities, during my professional career at ACP since 2003. I thoroughly enjoy working with children, adults and families and in getting to know and help them and to help reduce or eliminate problematic behaviors and teach coping skills to manage mental health symptoms. Processing and teaching skills through relational and humor is one of my strengths. I strongly believe in meeting the client where they are at both emotionally and physically.

My treatment modalities/therapeutic interventions include anxiety and depression, abuse and trauma, adjustment to change, school difficulties, cognitive behavior therapy, positive reinforcement programs, trauma-focused therapy, parenting education, and behavior therapy.

Approach to Supervision

In addition to role as Assistant Director of Community Based, I have been a Board Approved LICSW Supervisor since 2011. As a supervisor, my goal is to assist clinicians in gaining exposure to both evidenced-based and best based practices while also learning practice management skills to maintain a role as a successful clinician and grow each supervisee’s development from novice to expert. I use an Integrative Model of Supervision relying on more than theory and technique; included, but not limited to: Psychodynamic (patient-centered, supervisee-centered, and supervisory-matrix/relational centered), Cognitive-behavioral supervision (focusing on supervisee’s professional identity and their reaction to the client and by using techniques of setting an agenda for supervision sessions, bridging from previous sessions, assigning homework to the supervisee, etc in the learning process) and Systems Approach (relational and reflective supervision keeping in mind the connections between supervision, clients, Clinical Trainee/Mental Health Practitioner, the supervisor, and ACP). Providing Clinical Supervision has been a great opportunity to stay fresh in my clinical practice/knowledge while assisting in having more clinicians in the field by providing the benefits of supervision.

Telehealth Services

To expand and improve our care options for clients, ACP offers Telehealth (phone or video) appointments. Telehealth uses phone or video conferencing to connect you with highly qualified and experienced providers in real-time from the comfort and convenience of your own home or office. Before your telehealth appointment, you will receive details for how you will connect with your provider. If you will be connecting via phone, the provider will plan to call you at your scheduled appointment time. Please be ready to take the call and also check that your phone allows calls from blocked numbers (accessible within your phone settings). If you will be connecting via video conference, your provider will email you an invite to join the appointment. Please call our office to learn more about ACP’s telehealth services and to schedule an appointment.
