Tricia Engen, MA

Community-Based Services

I am a mental health practitioner working towards licensure. I enjoy working with people of all ages and cultures. I have experience working in areas such as anxiety disorders, depression, adjustment issues, grief, history of abuse, trauma, self-harm, and self-esteem issues.

Many people come to counseling because they are facing a variety of concerns in their daily lives. I utilize a combination of person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy. While using a person-centered approach I will be warm, genuine, and understanding to help the client achieve self-actualization and growth. I will also utilize cognitive behavior therapy to help clients realize their negative thinking patterns and develop alternative ways of thinking to alleviate their stress. While working with clients I want to assist them in reaching the goals they have placed to help them through the issues they are facing.

I enjoy reading, exercising, watching Netflix, and puzzles.
