NAMI, or the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is one of the nation’s largest grassroots movements dedicated to advocacy, spreading awareness, and bettering the lives of the millions of Americans affected by mental health.

“I will not step down. I will not step away. I will be there with my community.”

Ways to Get Involved

Did you know that 57.8 million adults are estimated to be living with mental illness in the US?

Whether or not you can attend this year’s mental health walk, there are more ways than one to uplift others and spread awareness about mental health. Here are just a few ways you can make a difference in your community:

Reach out. Reaching out, checking in, and offering support to those who may be silently struggling with their mental health could make a big difference in someone’s day.

Educate yourself. Learning about mental health resources and sharing them on social media or with family and friends can help others access powerful tools to help them navigate their mental health.

Stay connected. Staying connected to your community and participating in local mental health awareness events boosts morale and lifts the spirits of those around you. Remember, just one candle can light 1,000 other candles.

There is Hope

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, we want you to know that there is help and support available for you.
