Courtney Chess, MSW, LICSW

Everyone deserves a space where they feel safe and seen, and I feel privileged to help create that space through therapy. I believe in honoring each person’s unique strengths and autonomy, helping them recognize their value as they move through the healing process. My goal is always to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and empowered to move at your own pace. As I often tell clients, “You’re Batman, and I’m Robin.” You’re in charge of the direction, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I specialize in trauma recovery and have experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. I’ve worked extensively with survivors of domestic violence and early childhood trauma and approach this work with deep respect for each person’s story. I draw from EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to support your goals in a way that feels collaborative and is tailored to what works best for you.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing pinball, visiting art museums, watching old movies, and snuggling with my three rabbits.

Telehealth Services

To expand and improve our care options for clients, ACP offers Telehealth (phone or video) appointments. Telehealth uses phone or video conferencing to connect you with highly qualified and experienced providers in real-time from the comfort and convenience of your own home or office. Before your telehealth appointment, you will receive details for how you will connect with your provider. If you will be connecting via phone, the provider will plan to call you at your scheduled appointment time. Please be ready to take the call and also check that your phone allows calls from blocked numbers (accessible within your phone settings). If you will be connecting via video conference, your provider will email you an invite to join the appointment. Please call our office to learn more about ACP’s telehealth services and to schedule an appointment.
