Clinic and Community-Based Therapy Services

I have worked with children, adults, and families in several different capacities during my professional career. I love getting to know my clients and joining together to form a collaborative, fun, and respectful relationship. I have spent time in a small private Christian school both teaching music and working with struggling students and also in public schools working with children on IEPS for emotional and behavioral disorders among other concerns. My experience also includes work with adoption and the issues that can occur both with children and adults, along with ADHD and behavior disorders. My treatment modalities involve fun, therapeutic interventions, play therapy, and goal driven therapeutic relationships.

I aim to meet my clients where they are and support them to effect positive change. I have a unique background that includes many years of employment in a high stress executive position, growing up as an adopted individual, and navigating through a divorce and being a single mom. I call upon these significant experiences to help me understand the struggles of my clients and to lend an empathetic ear along with practical strategies for overcoming adversity. I enjoy working collaboratively with other professionals, including school staff, social workers, parents, clergy, and coaches. My view is that a collaborative approach where everyone’s input is valued is the most successful way to bring about positive change with clients of all ages. I welcome clients seeking a Christian provider; however I am nonjudgmental of my clients’ personal beliefs. I love to travel, watch my son play football, and listen to and perform music.

Telehealth Services

To expand and improve our care options for clients, ACP offers Telehealth (phone or video) appointments. Telehealth uses phone or video conferencing to connect you with highly qualified and experienced providers in real-time from the comfort and convenience of your own home or office. Before your telehealth appointment, you will receive details for how you will connect with your provider. If you will be connecting via phone, the provider will plan to call you at your scheduled appointment time. Please be ready to take the call and also check that your phone allows calls from blocked numbers (accessible within your phone settings). If you will be connecting via video conference, your provider will email you an invite to join the appointment. Please call our office to learn more about ACP’s telehealth services and to schedule an appointment.
