Community-Based Therapy Services

I am currently working on my Master of Social Work at the University of Iowa, expecting to graduate in May 2025. As a therapist, I value working with clients from many different life backgrounds, including fellow members of the LGBTQIA+ community, people living with chronic illnesses and disabilities, and folks who have had negative experiences seeking treatment in the past. My approach to therapy is compassionate and gentle. I am attentive to systemic issues, such as poverty, racism, ableism, body-size discrimination, and other social forces that can have a negative impact on my clients’ lives and how they see themselves. I incorporate elements of ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy, and I can adapt my style to each client’s individual needs. Most importantly, I want to build a strong relationship with each person I work with, coming from a place of humility and gratitude to walk alongside them in their journey.

Telehealth Services

To expand and improve our care options for clients, ACP offers Telehealth (phone or video) appointments. Telehealth uses phone or video conferencing to connect you with highly qualified and experienced providers in real-time from the comfort and convenience of your own home or office. Before your telehealth appointment, you will receive details for how you will connect with your provider. If you will be connecting via phone, the provider will plan to call you at your scheduled appointment time. Please be ready to take the call and also check that your phone allows calls from blocked numbers (accessible within your phone settings). If you will be connecting via video conference, your provider will email you an invite to join the appointment.
