Sarah Najafalipour, MA, LPCC, School Coordinator/Supervisor

Community-Based Therapy Services

I have worked with numerous adults, children, and families since the beginning of my professional career with ACP. While I enjoy working with clients of all ages, my passion lies in working with school-age children, specifically in the school setting. My therapeutic approach often involves working on emotions and behavioral learning through play and art. My experience includes working with children who are struggling with behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, and social and self-esteem issues.

My overall goal is to act as a support for the student and family, while always working in close collaboration with other professionals, such as school staff, social workers, and case managers. In my experience, the most successful way to bring about positive change in students involves a supportive and collaborative approach with families and those in their support system.

Approach to Supervision

I began with ACP as an intern in 2016 and have stayed here throughout my progress as a licensed clinician and clinical supervisor. I approach supervision the same way I approach therapy: with openness, genuineness, and compassionate support.  I feel that it is important to have a collaborative relationship with supervisees and seek feedback on how they feel I can best tailor support through the licensure process, rather than relying on cookie-cutter approaches that may not be efficient to their clinical growth. I feel I bring a good balance of clinical conceptualization and practice management in order to support my supervisees to become the best clinicians they can grow to be.

Telehealth Services

To expand and improve our care options for clients, ACP offers Telehealth (phone or video) appointments. Telehealth uses phone or video conferencing to connect you with highly qualified and experienced providers in real-time from the comfort and convenience of your own home or office. Before your telehealth appointment, you will receive details for how you will connect with your provider. If you will be connecting via phone, the provider will plan to call you at your scheduled appointment time. Please be ready to take the call and also check that your phone allows calls from blocked numbers (accessible within your phone settings). If you will be connecting via video conference, your provider will email you an invite to join the appointment. Please call our office to learn more about ACP’s telehealth services and to schedule an appointment.
