Mitchell Tavernier, MA, LPCC

Community-Based Services

My roots are in humanistic-existential psychotherapy, which allows for a holistic understanding of each client's unique situation. Everybody comes with certain strengths, needs, life circumstances and stories. Therefore, paramount to my approach is that I adapt to each client, learning who they are and where they want to go in life. Because I work with each client to identify and meet specific goals, I also employ cognitive-behavioral interventions which serve to increase skills across various domains of functionality. Above all, my approach is positive, collaborative, and educational in nature.
