Community-Based and Clinic-Based Therapy Services
My approach in therapy is rooted in the individual as a driving force in their own life. Many people dramatically underestimate the strengths they have and the feats they have already accomplished, and I hope to give clients the opportunity to recognize their whole selves, including the positive. I believe strongly in providing a space for people to be open about their fears, their insecurities, their worries, and their entire emotional world. I want to meet people where they are at and support them in developing their life and goals at their own pace. My therapeutic approach borrows heavily from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT); I strive to support clients using the most evidenced and scientifically supported practices available.
Much of my client base includes trans folks and other members of the LGBTQ+ community, atheists and the nonreligious, and those who have difficulty managing depression and anxiety.
I am a big fan of video games (for fun and as an art form), anime and manga, strength training, tabletop gaming, and watching my husband play horror games through my fingers.
Telehealth Services
To expand and improve our care options for clients, ACP offers Telehealth (phone or video) appointments. Telehealth uses phone or video conferencing to connect you with highly qualified and experienced providers in real-time from the comfort and convenience of your own home or office. Before your telehealth appointment, you will receive details for how you will connect with your provider. If you will be connecting via phone, the provider will plan to call you at your scheduled appointment time. Please be ready to take the call and also check that your phone allows calls from blocked numbers (accessible within your phone settings). If you will be connecting via video conference, your provider will email you an invite to join the appointment.
